How I Use Claude to Run Two Businesses as a Homeschooling Mom

The actual workflows, prompts, and daily systems I use every week — not the polished version. Here's what AI-assisted building actually looks like from the inside of a full life.

Let me be honest with you: I didn't think AI would actually change my life. I thought it would be another shiny tool I'd try for two weeks and abandon like a bullet journal in February.

I was wrong.

I run two businesses — HER Vision Co. and a separate consulting practice — while homeschooling my kids. My schedule is not ideal. My environment is not quiet. My days do not go as planned. And yet, in the last eight months, I've published more content, closed more clients, and felt more in control of my work than at any other point in my entrepreneurial life.

Claude is a big reason why.

How I Actually Use It

I have a standing Claude Project called HER OS — my operating system. Inside it, I've uploaded my brand voice guide, my content pillars, my 90-day goals, and a weekly context note I update every Sunday. When I open it on Monday morning, Claude already knows who I am, what I'm building, and what I'm working toward this quarter.

I don't start from scratch. Ever.

From there, my most-used workflows are: drafting newsletter sections from bullet points, building out content calendars from a single topic idea, writing sales page copy from a product outline, and helping me think through decisions when I'm stuck.

That last one is underrated. Having a thinking partner who never gets tired, never judges you, and always asks good questions? That's the unlock.
